Set in modern day London, If Only opens with its central character, Olivia, making a pretty bold statement - "Women are delusional." Starting from age four, Olivia then begins to dissect her past failed relationships in order to finally discourage herself from believing in Hollywood style romances. Writing with brutal honesty, she reminisces over her first loves, one night stands, online dating history, the short affair she had with an ACTUAL millionaire, and finally the so-called love of her life, who has just walked out on her. Each chapter represents another phase in her life and another failed attempt at securing a movie worthy love story. Throughout the journey, the reader is privy to Olivia's views on life as a millennial, homosexuality, friendships, ambition, body confidence, and ultimately, love.

This book is a raw, reflective journey through fear, self awareness, faith, and healing. Told through quiet moments, spontaneous drives, music, and inner dialogue, it explores what it means to sit with discomfort instead of fighting it and to slowly learn self compassion. Blending personal experience with spirituality, autism, and mental health, the author reflects on how fear can shift from a burden to a guide, and how presence, honesty, and small perspective changes can lead to meaningful growth. This is not a story of perfection or instant healing, but of learning to move forward gently, imperfectly, and with faith.

Story

Episodic adventures of a group of supernatural friends living in the city and trying to get by. Published whenever I damn well feel like it. Odette "Dot" Hollister is a girl who dated Satan. Dan Crossbone is a hipster skeleton. Atreyu Malankian is a misanthropic and out of shape werewolf. Messelin Vin is the pixie daughter of the CEO of a multi-national corporation that might just be evil. Lana Tatiana is just an elf-trans-girl from the south. They're friends, they have lives, they get together and drink and talk about problems and fall in love and fall out of love and sometimes they survive the ushering in of an apocalypse or two. I do all the art myself, it's why all the illustrations look like a coked up toddler drew them.

She goes to the doctor on her twenty-fourth birthday and gets the news that she is expecting, and according to her HcG levels there is more than one baby. To her this is the best birthday ever. However, when she tells Beto, he has the nerve to say the babies aren't his. This devastates and enrages Jada. She isn't one to cheat. She has always wanted a man to love who loves her as well and to create a family. Jada becomes obsessed with baby names. Her mission is to find the perfect names for her babies. She writes them down in a notebook and also finds them on Pinterest and saves them to her baby name board. Finding the perfect name is so important to her and so much fun at times, but frustrating at others. Her mama always told her she deserves the world and can do anything she sets her mind to. Jada discovers that life is what happens while you are busy making other plans. Will she ever find true love and the strength to keep believing in herself and love? Will anyone ever choose her and treat her the way she deserves to be treated?

Before Charlie passed away at twenty-three, he had one final surprise for his four best friends after his death: a trip to Mexico to relax after their month of grief! The problem? As far as apartments go, roommates Stella and Charlotte "Bronte" believe theirs to be just fine. Sure, they hate taking the stairs up to the third floor, especially after grocery shopping. And yes, the apartment staff could be a bit nicer. But all things considered, it's not a bad place to live. Until the sudden chills begin, seizing them at inexplicable times. Until Bronte starts to see shadows out of the corner of her eye and Stella begins to hear voices too close, sighs too near to be the culprit of paper-thin walls. Century-old ghosts Oliver and Cyril have seen what happens to mortals forced, unknowingly, to spend time in their company. For the unlucky few, their perceptions change, allowing them to perceive the departed. And not everyone, they know, are strong enough to handle living with the dead. Determined to save Stella and Bronte from the fate that befell their last haunting, Oliver and Cyril must find a way to prevent their perceptions from deepening. But when the two ghosts encounter a dark creature unlike any they've seen before, they might have to rethink their plan. The two girls might be the key to saving their afterlives. Not to mention themselves.

Just a diary style perspective of my experience as a first time home renter. Bad relations with my Mum caused a 16 year old to dream of one day having her own place, her own rules, her own safe space. And now that I've finally acquired it- I thought I'd help other 20 something year olds relate to the nightmares that come with that dream, alongside the amazing perk of having your own place, for the first time.
