Before stadiums, before screaming crowds, Tyler Joseph was just a shy kid playing music in a dive bar on Friday nights with his best friend Josh Dun . Selene was the girl behind the counter, hiding bruises under her sleeves and pain in her voice. When their worlds collide, both of them learn how powerful it can be to simply be seen. Becoming apart of the band and suddenly they're seen by a ton of people. But will her ex come back to take all that away? Or will the trauma?

Tyler and Josh are touring Blurryface. Each show is helping Tyler face his demons. Josh is struggling with anxiety. His anxiety makes him sick, and Tyler takes care of him.

I am a citizen of Dema. I am an escapee. I have failed time and time again. I have never seen the world outside this city, but one day I hope to. One day I will. My friend Clancy is like me. He is a citizen of Dema. He is an escapee. He is an exception. He has seen the world outside these imposing walls. He tells me about these people he's seen. He hasn't been able to speak with them yet, but he gets closer with each escape. I'm going to ask him to take me the next time he goes. I want to see these people for myself. I want to know if we can survive outside of Dema. Because I want to live.

So a bunch of band members (Gerard, Frank, Mikey, Brendon, Ryan, Tyler, Josh, Pete, etc..) get thrown into a mental institution (for reasons you will find out while reading). This is gonna include a lot of ships so be prepared! (Different points of view in the story as well). They all meet and agree on 1 thing...they want to escape

Josh was forced into college after giving up on life completely. He's drained, depressed, and nothing really matters. If it were up to him, the world would have left him behind years ago, at the same place he felt stuck. He's not going to do more than the bare minimum, but he also can't handle disappointing his family further. There is no light where he's from, the only driving force is his deep discomfort with making people hate him. Maybe it would be easier if he let them. Tyler went to college as soon as he could. His life was gentle and full of color, the only struggle he feels on a daily basis is what to wear. He has huge goals and won't let anything stop him. He's just worried about how he can make more friends in the meantime. Tyler isn't vain or judgmental, but he refuses to be anything but perfect at any moment.
