I am a citizen of Dema. I am an escapee. I have failed time and time again. I have never seen the world outside this city, but one day I hope to. One day I will. My friend Clancy is like me. He is a citizen of Dema. He is an escapee. He is an exception. He has seen the world outside these imposing walls. He tells me about these people he's seen. He hasn't been able to speak with them yet, but he gets closer with each escape. I'm going to ask him to take me the next time he goes. I want to see these people for myself. I want to know if we can survive outside of Dema. Because I want to live.

Based on the song Routines in the Night by Twenty One Pilots, this story is about Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun, it's about their friendship and how people can actually make their "houses" disappear ...(it's complicated to explain so just read it!) It's my first ever fanfic, (so I already apologise if there are grammar errors). I'm very attached to it! I hope you'll enjoy this story as much as I do ☆

You go to the trees to escape, to escape your life, your depression, your anxiety, your fears, your friends. you go there to keep your sanity, to be at peace with nature, to find peace. what happens when a certain boy disrupts your balance? all songs pertain to the chapter and i listen to them on repeat until i finish the chapter. i recommend listening to them as you read. It's always the quiet ones. Cadence Riggs has a past. A reputation. But it's not what everyone thinks it is. They don't know about her gifts with art. Josh is the shy, bullied boy who sits in the back of the classroom. Tyler is the scary, punk-rock boy who nobody gets too close to. He's also the boy who leaves love notes on Josh's locker every morning.

Tyler Joseph has always had a problem with keeping his demonic thoughts under control. He was in the habit of letting them do as they please. That is until he meets a vibrant-color-haired boy, who Tyler can't bring himself to hurt. (WARNING: Self Harm -it's mentioned but it doesn't go into hardcore details-, Drug Use -it's just weed-, Drinking -it's at a party-) (Chapters are pretty long, there are a few short chapters though)
