Twilight Sparkle was favored out of Granny Smith's many grand-children to their chagrin. After she has peculiar dreams showing her her family would bow to her, they grew angry and tried to kill her, resulting in her being sold as a slave far away.

An extrordinary family of creatures with special powers runs and takes care their small villiage. However, an ordinary daughter with no powers and no cutie mark has to take up the responsibility to save the magic and more importantly restore the family bonds between them before what they had gained is lost forever.

A filly is cursed to sleep at the age of 15 and so lives in the woods with her caretakers and her older sister.

When Twilight is about to be cristened the newest crystal princess, a great evil attacks the empire. With Pinkie in an enchanted sleep, Spike as a stone statue, and her parents dead, Twilight must set off on a great journey with her friends, Fluttershy, Discord, and Rainbow Dash to find the thing that will free her kingdom. But she herself is struck with a peculiar curse, how can she overcome it and save her ponies.
