And of course.... You couldn't even guess what would happen after that... Falling into water, almost drowning, and being saved by a horse who gently pulled you up and onto the wooden ledge. You gasp as you breathe and look at your surroundings. You look up at the horse and... WHY IS THAT HORSE SO BIG?!!! You hear a big gasp and turn to look. A teenager with blond hair and a dress akin to Thumbelina rushes over to you. " You're, YOU'RE OKAY!! AND YOU'RE SMALL LIKE ME!" ( While Thumbelina is in the public domain, the story is based off Don Bluth's Thumbelina but that belongs to him and the only character that belongs to me is the reader and the story idea) First chapter is in 2nd POV while the rest is in Third POV. If I could describe Abbey Welton... a 13-year-old girl, shoulder-length curly auburn hair, tall, slim, and freckled. But she is so much more than that. In a narrow 2 storied house in Washington, Abbey lives with her younger brother her Dad and his fiance; Sarah. Before Sarah, Abbey's mother used to live there too until she passed away from brain cancer when Abbey was four. Having dealt with trauma at such a young age, Abbey turned to reading stories. An intelligent girl she was, to have been reading at 4 years old (although Abbey was always smart and still is). Years and years of being locked up in her small room (optionally), reading her life away. Yet she never complained about it. Something about these stories made her feel better- as if they were an escape. She even used to pretend to be the characters in the books! But she never related more to any character than the ones from the fairytales. It was unexplainable to her at the time, but she just loved them so much. Part of the reason why she lives her life the way she does. Eventually, Abbey realized fairytales are not real, and they are just folklore for young children. But Abbey's life takes for a turn when her brother makes a wish on a wishing star. Abbey must figure out how to reverse the wish and find her brother while saving the fairytales. So next time you want to make a wish on a wishing star, just remember this: Be careful what you wish for ♥

This is a twist on the story of Sleeping Beauty. Sleeping Beauty has been craving her whole life for the one romantic moment where she will meet her true prince and finally find true love. She is so tired of waiting and wishes that someone will come along at this very moment. When she stumbles on an abandoned cottage in the woods, she finds out that true love might not always be what she had imagined and that sometimes, true love my never come along.

Everyone loves a Fairy Tale, At least that's what people say, But life isn't a fairy tale, Everyone is sick of the old cliché. The Love at First Sight. The Happily Ever After. Of course, 'love at first sight' doesn't exist, and 'happily ever after' is something which has to be worked for. But, Fairy Tale endings are cliché because we miss the point of the story in the first place: It is not about the happy ending. It is about the journey to get there. THIS is no Red Riding Hood story. This tale's roots lay in deeper and older places. When details weren't glossed over, and the happily ever after was not so sure. The star of this twisted tale: Deirdre of the Sorrows, the mythological Irish 'Helen of Troy.' Cinderella forever trapped at the stroke of midnight. Snow White stuck in the glass box. Sleeping Beauty never to be kissed. Perhaps, this time, this lovely fairy tale maiden can escape her fate. Now please, my reader, enjoy the fairy tale in my cliché. Warning: Contains one sexy Latin crime lord. Also contains one kick-ass Irish woman a girl can look up to. Explosive temper alert. Maintain 20 yard perimeter at all times. But what if I told you the seawitch was actually the mermaid princess' best friend and didn't want her to go to the land at all and instead was worried about her so much. What if I told you, the human prince pretended to not recognize her because he wanted to marry the neighboring kingdom's princess? What if I told you the seawitch was only called a seawitch because their kind could perform magic and spells, but merfolk feared them for superstitious reasons? What if I told you that seawitch was in love with the princesses and they wanted to do all they could to prevent her from turning into seafoam? Because that seawitch is me...
