Is it wrong to be selfish once in a while? Even though it's the only thing that made you happy and feel that you're alive? When you know that everyone around you is against your decision, is it wrong to give yourself a chance?

I wrote this in 7th grade, so there are a few cringey parts but I do think it's really good other wise. Also, there was a word limit so it's a fairly short read. This is a dystopian novel about genetically editing humans with a fair portion of romance in it. Also, the characters are loosely based of of Marie Lu's Legend characters, Day and June. Sensitive content: One character is addicted to drugs. They are a side character, but they stick around for a few chapters. There are also minor mentions of drunk people and alcohol. I am not a huge fan of the way Harry and Ginny were portrayed in either the books or the movies so I am rewriting them.
