Set in 2007, in the neighborhood of Clancy Way, the story explores the rivalry between the Downbeats and the Clique, two teenage street gangs of different family backgrounds. Both gangs vie for dominance of the neighborhood, and the police try to keep order. Joshua Dun, a former Downbeat and older brother of the gang's leader, Jordan Dun, falls in love with Tyler Joseph, the brother of Zack Joseph, the leader of the Clique. josh decided to come closer to the guy, because not only did he want to see what he looked like, but he also wanted to make sure he wasn't a ghost. ghosts were scary, and if he was to be a spirit, josh would know when to run instead of making small talk. tyler was admitted into a prison. he can't recall anything about why he ended up there, all he knows is he sees josh playing drums every once in a while, but while josh never talks, tyler isn't able to get too close to josh for the fear of him disappearing. he also doesn't know why josh tends to reappear and disappear, but he does know how to keep up with making lyrics to a song, reminding himself of what it was like with josh and how everything around him feels, trying to recollect his lost memories.

"did you really steal those packs of gum?" tyler asked when the girl made her way outside. "yes, did you really wait for me just to ask me? are you gonna run back in there and tell on me?" she scoffed as she started to walk off. I take requests :) All i've got to say is be careful reading these??? They can probably be pretty triggering and some may have happy endings and some may have sad ones. I'll write in each chapter summary or in the notes whether it'll be happy or sad. This is mostly just so i can write when i'm feeling really down and afraid, so they're'll be lots of angst.
