SPOILER ALERT!! This is an alternate universe of Simon and Baz's first kiss, as if the fire scene never happened.

All Simon has ever known is his life in the tower. He's told it's for his own good, but he feels like he's slowly going crazy. Until one day, he meets a boy. The first person he's ever talked to, apart from the Mage, or at least the first he can remember. And suddenly, everything starts unraveling. all characters in this story belong to Rainbow Rowell (bless her)

Discontent was been spreading like wild fire through the magical kingdom. Waging war on the Mage, the Old Families' attempt to overthrow him and seize power to re-establish themselves. Baz finds himself caught up in the mad fury of his father, the lingering guilt he feels towards his mother and the obligation he has to the Old Families'. Simon for once finds himself, fighting for a cause he begins to question. Facing off against each other, the two boys now find what were once petty squabbles have ceased to be and instead, a gulf has widened between them, with irreconcilable differences, unsettled scores and unrequited love.

Because it's August and I don't have a better title idea. It started with Simon Snow walking into a pole. This is a story of a boy meeting another boy and falling in love and forgetting that the rest of the world is still turning.

Baz Pitch is on a mission but is distracted by Simon Snow and his friends.
