The tale begins in the bustling, impoverished streets of Hanyang, where Yohan, a mute commoner, live among the forgotten and forsaken. After all, physicist Niels Bohr once said, "The best weapon of a dictatorship is secrecy." Along with this chaos, Ryan is trying to deal with the stress of Ramona becoming distant due to her past reappearing, and the new rules and regulations making his career walk on a tightrope. The national anthem may say otherwise, but the United States is no longer the land of the free and the home of the brave. Not with the new government. 'Short Tyrants' is a bundle of short stories, based on other works of fiction, real-life events or the personal life of the author. All stories relate in some way or another to authority (or the lack thereof) and all the problems that surround the age-old debate between liberty and authority. The title of this work is a wordplay: meant by the title is Short 'Stories' about Tyrants. With this wordplay the author attempts to ridicule the tyrants, showing his bias towards the authoritarians within the short stories themselves.
