Annabel is thrust into the new world that humans have inhabited. She is the first of her kind-- the first human-- to be born after being born and bred in a scientific facility. Now that she is released into the new world, she is being used by the Chancellor to do his bidding.
She doesn't know the extent of her wrongdoing until she meets Julian, who introduces her to the truth of the new world. Annabel finds herself in strife. She feels incongruous in the new world, begged to choose between her creator and her first and only love.
All the while, the government are planning, scheming and preparing to take complete control over the public, with only Annabel in the knowledge of their plans.
How can Annabel know right from wrong when she is only beginning to know herself?
The clock is ticking.
