Uraraka: My parents have always been supportive of me and everything I do. Things have been ruff for us since I was a kid, we've never really had lots of money but we were happy. For a few years when I was around 8, I had to live with my grandmother. My dad had lost his job and money was as tight as ever. My mom was working but with my dad searching for a new job they didn't have the time to take care of me. My grandmother has always been a traditional kinda woman. She believes shit like "a woman belongs to the kitchen" and "marriage is between a man and a woman." She's kind of an asshole but she took care of me so I can't really complain. Anyways I lived with her up until I was 14 and when you're living with someone for so long the things they say worm into your brain. The thing is my parents are about as liberal as it gets so they did teach me that it's okay to love who you wanna love and be who you are. So for my whole life, I was always stuck between whether being gay was okay or not. It's something I've always struggled with, so when I had my first girl crush in 7th grade I was disgusted with myself. I thought it was wrong and disgusting for me to feel things towards another girl. I pushed those feelings I had way down inside of me. I started forcing myself to try to like boys.
