A disaster devastates the world as the era of darkness falls upon them. A darkness stirs nearby, finally awaking for the first time in ten thousand years since it was attacked. It wakes up with nothing but a deep desire for vengeance. It runs rampid across the world, burning and killing everything in its path with its bitterly cold blue flames. People everywhere are transformed into these soulless creatures known as Shades whose only goal in mind is to aid the darkness in its vengeance. Only those who pledge their loyalty to one of the three guardians were able to survive the disaster. Tara, guardian of the people. Silvador, guardian of heaven and Azazel; guardian of hell. Those who pledge are granted the divine power of their guardian and the awakening of their dominant elements- but it comes with a curse. Activating this curse causes instant death- but, there are those lucky ones, a select few who survive without pledging. These people are called 'The Unbounded'. They are granted the divine powers of all three guardians minus the curse. Outcast as criminals, captured and killed, they have nowhere to go. K

A story about a teenage girl who made the cliche mistake of wandering into that dark alley. Of course, what happens after is hardly cliche. Justinian DeMonte was trying to live a normal life. She really was, but when you have the personality she does weird lights in an alleyway often tend to attract your attention. Probably should have followed that common knowledge to never follow the weird lights, but then who does. Though honestly if Justinian has known what would have happened in that alley and who it would end up killing maybe she would have gone in, or maybe it would have made her go in faster...

Vera Estelle, an individual very common, yet very unique at the same time. She had multiple problems in her personality, yet sometimes, they couldn't be considered as problems. They might even be regarded as positive in some points of view, she was a crazily deranged, bipolar, sociopath yet empathetic, narcisiscticly stupid, and suprisingly genius person. As they say, the more unhinged a person is, the smarter they are. Though I'm not sure this would apply to her... even though she had a score of 164 at IQ. Caught by the sudden storm of unfamiliarity of being transported to another world. How will she handle the new world she has set her paws on? I doubt it wouldn't be chaotic, after all, she had the powers of electrokinesis, and at the scale that might be above the first awakener of electrokinesis. Well, she certainly would be equal, if not over the first awakener of electrokinesis if she trains as hard as she could. Though she might just be able to without pulling much effort. After all, her name is... Vera Estelle. Vera means true, and Estelle would mean star. If both we combined, they would mean "True Star".

An anthology made for practicing my writing and expanding my universe (meaning there are connections between each story, even though some are subtle.) if your cup of tea is magic, magic systems, short stories, you might get into it. English is my second language, my writing experience is basically zero and I'm probably not gonna write consistently at first. We'll see. I can also tell you that I created a story, a universe and during the process of writing its history, I fell in love with some characters and created backstories better than I had to my intended main character at the time. I changed it all and now I consider my story to be about this universe instead. if you can put up with my new author blunders, please correct me as soon as possible, I'll try to revise thoroughly instead of keeping it like I wrote at first.
