Some kids got their prayers answered; Sal got coke and a broken bathroom stall.
At seventeen, Sal's already past saving. Addicted, angry, and numb to the world, he doesn't believe in redemption-until a near-fatal overdose throws him into the hands of a religious foster family determined to fix him. But Sal doesn't need fixing. He needs a way out.
Then he meets Valentina. She's the first person who sees him as more than just a lost cause, and for the first time, Sal starts to think maybe he could be something more. But the past doesn't let go so easily. When Valentina's life spirals into the same darkness he's been drowning in, Sal is forced to make a choice: run like he always has, or fight for something real-even if it kills him.
