Olivia Andrews is 17 years old. She's your average teenager. She has friends, goes to school, likes to read. But what sets her apart from her classmates you may ask; she had leukemia and has been in remission for 8 months. For Olivia, nothing at Berkshire hospital has changed for the 12 years she's been there. There's always the same nurses, same doctors, same room. Until a new guy moves into the room right across from hers. He's a bit of an outcast, always reading or moping around. He's the total opposite of Olivia but for some reason she finds herself drawn to him.

After Nina had killed herself Jax had been giving the chance to save her, going back 31 days before she died, he was going to help her, to try and save her. But what happens when the girl doesn't want to be saved... And when the boy finds himself falling for the girl who wants to die? Drama, romance and heartbreak are waiting for you...

But every act of mercy twisted into horror. Grain burned. Prisoners rotted. Coin rusted in the palm. The world itself seemed scripted to make her the villain.
