The sequel to Unbalanced, Scourges is the tale of Criethia after the recapture of Doom, the dark dragon. Zoro has Doom's eggs, and he intends to raise the dragons to do his bidding. Wether he is successful or not, the people of Criethia are in for a nasty surprise.

Those in the Low-Tier are soon regarded as societal waste, while those in the Top-Tier are glorified and feared like lions in the jungle. But chaos ensues once the local zoo experiences a 'zoo-break' on the mayor's first anniversary. And to further complicate the matter, several unfortunate citizens--including Allice, an illiterate Low-Tier boy--accidentally stumble upon carelessly spread-out secrets and schemes, making them the perfect prey for daunting human-faced beasts in the city. Now Allice and his companions must break free from the swamped situation they've fallen into. Or their future lies solely under the mercy of the beasts in the mysterious land. Dear reader, Although it may not seem so in here, I am happy and I am grateful for my life. And in spite of everything negative that happens in my mind I still follow my course and each day I conquer most of my inner battles. But even so my mind runs without asking. And so begins the series of thoughts that do not escape from my lips but that still reflect on myself. It is easy to explain what makes us happy, however it is complex to expose what disturbs our feelings and our way of thinking. My mind is a complicated enigma that, despite being mine, has a life of its own and operates without asking me for permission and for an indefinite period of time. And here the cries of it.
