A work of the detective genre written in very simple language, which is really read in one breath, although I will find here that in this simplicity there is more depth and complexity than you can imagine. You often stop, think, then read again and at the end you are so engrossed that you can't wait until you get to the final.
I mentioned the detective, but believe me, this book covers everything: how unknowable the human world is, how powerful the human imagination and inner nature are, and how people can live double lives.
That there is a love that you have not even thought about and that is hidden in your very deep subconscious and will only come to you at the last and perhaps hopeless moment.
This extraordinary story is told by a Georgian girl, Sofoko, who has a family, friends, and everyone plays a certain, important role in her life. And there is "Matabel" - for me the best character in this adventure.
You read the book and you realize that there are no people like Matabele, and if there are, you want to meet him, get to know him and experience exactly the same thing about him that the main character experiences when he is with him and interacts with him.
Matabel is a manipulator. He plays on the feelings and emotions of others, he can destroy with one hand everyone with whom he is not attracted, but this does not give you the right to hate him.
It's the same in life too, you know the inner "unclean" nature of a person, it is different, you might even put it on the "bad boys list", but still this "bad" fascinates you more and you want to get closer and understand its true inner nature.
