Unclean Stories

If you are a troubled child between the ages of 10-20 then your parents can send you to "The Box". "The Box" uses any/every means necessary to mold you into a perfect, mindless, law following, zombie. When Athena and Peter are shipped away to be schooled they uncover some very deep, corrupt, secrets that run deep in the government. They want to uncover them all, but how can they start a rebellion within the government without anyone noticing? And who can they trust? Warning! Some younger audiences may be uncomfortable/ unsuitable for reading this. I am writing this for 14+ Self-harm, violence, killing, blood, cuts, starvation, death, beating, whipping, drugs, and depression is referenced. Swearing is glossed over/ light swearing, periods are talked about, mature themes are hinted at and the main character is almost assaulted. The mature themes will probably go over most younger people's heads.

It was going to be just another day. Wake up, go to work, get home, eat, sleep, you know the drill. It wasn't.

Stanley Uris is a perfectionist. Having to get absolutely every detail perfect. From assorting pens, to 'fixing' every little Golden brown curl that lay on his head. After It attacks back in '89, Uris can't bare to look at himself. The scars lining the side of his face, where the creature bit, making him feel dirty. The worst part was he could Never get clean. In which Stanley looks for comfort in his best friend but ends up falling in love. It's rough loving someone who will never love you back. Not in the way you want.

What do you do when all that you've ever learned is to kill? How do you live with yourself when you follow orders and those orders are wrong?

A world unclean.

I don't think anyone truly understands. One day, you just wake up and think "where did all this stuff come from? How did it get here?" You always remind yourself "you did this. You brought this stuff into your home, and you neglected to place it in a specific place. You neglected to clean up after yourself." It's hard, living like this is. I'm Tammy Carter.
