The town has a rule, anyone who can dream-leap will be locked away, but who ever is locked away has never came back. The town is questioned constantly on if they are a dream leaper, and the consequences are unbearable if caught lying. The town has grown up their entire lives thinking that being able to dream leap is bad, and you should be locked away for it. But what happens when two people accidentally leap into each other's dreams. Then when it couldn't have gotten any worse it did. A dream leaper is putting people in an endless coma, and if a cure can't be found then they will die. The town is being swarmed with even more detectives who are trying to find every dream leaper in the town, never stopping, and always trying to get somebody to slip up. Who can be trusted and who can't? Can friendships be made, or should old ones be broken? As the two find themselves more wrapped up in this mess, everything is to be questioned. Including if they can trust each other.

We all have access to our own inner light, that if acknowledged and directed, is the true source of any healing. From a non-dualistic perspective, if there is something to be healed, that requires a pre-existing means to heal it from the same agency noticing the need for healing.

Tessa and her partner in crime, Jamie, arrive in a new town, planning on a short stay, but their plans are interrupted by a strange trio takes a great, unexplainable interest in them. Thalia, a Bearer of the Mark and a Leader of a Koet, Is the head of a rebellion against the crown. She is looking for support and numbers, even if it is unwilling. She and 2 other members of her Koet have been searching the unmarked, regular human population for someone who posses enough power to be able to withstand the Mark. She thinks she has found the perfect first mark when she meets Tessa. Jace, a Bearer of the Mark and leader of a Koet, has seen the actions of Thalia and her Koet, but unlike Tessa, he knows the reasons behind them. Jace makes a plan that sets wheels in motion. Tessa will soon find that the world is more than she previously thought and that life is not black and white. She has an opportunity to start over at a new different life, but is it worth it?
