In a world where conformity stifles individuality, and survival is a daily battle, Gods Golden State is a raw, unfiltered memoir of a young LGBT adult navigating life on the streets of California. Forced into homelessness after a series of devastating events-losing jobs, friends, and stability-the journey unfolds in a brutal landscape of uncertainty, betrayal, and fleeting moments of hope.

Trish, my girlfriend, and I found ourselves without a home after our families distanced themselves from us due to our sexuality. We were young, scared, and alone in a world that seemed to be against us. But, in the midst of our despair, we met Shaun, an elderly homeless man who would become our benefactor and friend. He took us under his wing, teaching us how to survive on the streets, showing us that there was still beauty in the world, even in the darkest of places.
We met others in the community, each with their own unique stories, like Boss Man, Porkchops, Ghost, Zuko, The Kid from Ethiopia, and Christian. Together, we formed a community, a family of misfits, who looked out for each other in a world that seemed to have forgotten us.
But then came the longest night.
