#WITW Contest 2025 Submission Phoebe George is a small-town girl who works as a volunteer ghost tour guide for her town's most famous landmark, a Victorian-era mansion said to have been the setting for the murder of a child long ago. Mark Hall is a well-known podcaster who debunks haunted houses and real life ghost stories. He is determined to debunk this house, but not if Phoebe has anything to say about it. On Halloween night, the 150th anniversary of the murder, when Mark tries to break in and she goes in after him, they end up getting locked on the inside. Forced to stay the night in the house together, they decide to investigate the murder a bit further. However, what they find might be more shocking than anything they ever expected, and force them to rethink everything they thought they knew.
