My collection of Short Stories/Poetry/school assignments all in one place. I don't know what made me write these, but it happened and I'm glad to be posting on Wattpad. I suddenly found myself liking Short Stories and a little bit of Poetry, mostly Sonnets (don't know why sonnets, I just like the way they're written) but when i write short stories, they are SHORT. Connor was never okay. Not with her friends. Not with her family. And her mom was the only constant in her life, until she was even taken from Connor. Connor's relatives had the chance to take care of her, but no one knew exactly how to do so. Until one distant cousin brings her into his cold Alaskan lifestyle. ** Cole was a survivor, no matter what choice words people had about him. He was lost, and he had forgotten how to love, or to be loved. All he had left for a family, were his three brothers, each different in their own way. When Connor and Cole first met, Cole understood what she is going through, but Connor never had anyone to understand her, so she does the only thing she's had in her life. She ran. Distraction. What crosses your mind as your eyes read this word? Diversion, disturbance, perhaps? To Manny, it means escaping reality, even just for a minute. As the only child of a very much not functioning, realist bunch of parents, it is safe to say that he doesn't have the easiest of lives and barely ever feels understood. As his parents again misunderstand his free spirit, they decide to bring them over to his grandfather over the summer so perhaps he will return to real life. Manny's grandpa: a communist, a severe and moody older adult. Could these summer holidays turn for the worse?

Bailey is different. The weight of life and the burden of reality sits heavy on her shoulder with nobody near to understand the pain. Life slowly circles around her as her emotions cloud every decision she makes and maneuvers every action she takes. This is a story about the reality of depression and how it impacts every day life. I hope it will make those who suffer feel understood, and those who don't more understanding. Enjoy :)
