Ava grew up in a house with her step mum and step brothers. Her dad passed away when she was only 4 and since then the only person to show her any kindness was Jet, her step brother. Her only dream was too escape and be near the ocean but her step mum refused. She didn't know how to get out, she just knew that she had too.

♡ Inspired by Disney's: The Little Mermaid ♡ Anabelle is the youngest daughter of King Ormand of Nereia, who wants nothing more than to be part of the human world, but not having legs makes it impossible. While she was swimming in a river that would be deadly to humans, she saved a young girl, Ciri, who she quickly bonded with. She thought she would never get to interact with humans again until she made a deal with a kind Sea Witch who traded Anabelle's gills and tail for air-breathing lungs and legs. Now, she has to make use of her new legs. If she can't find someone to fall in love with her in 14 days, she will die. Will Geralt be the man that saves her life, or will Anabelle's father convince Geralt to make her return to Nereia, unknowingly sending her to an untimely grave.

"Where is your prince, my queen? Where is the man who is supposed to give your life meaning and save you from the torture of the outside world?" the man in the shadows paced around me as the whip in his hand moved through the air. "Where is he?" The tears in my eyes fell to my stained and bruised lap. My stringy and oily hair fell past my shoulders as I flung my head down in shame and pain. "I don't know!" "Oh, but sweet, loving, naive princess, I do," the man came into the light of the swinging lamp, "I do, and I love that I do. Do you know where he is?" His hard and calloused hands squeezed my shoulders as he forced my eyes to look at his scarred face. "He's dead. You know he is. You can't feel him anymore. But do you know the best part? Now you're mine."

Aaron and his buddy Flounder were swimming through the ocean until they saw a beautiful mermaid with her dolphin friend playing around in the coral reef. Will Aaron fall in love with this mermaid find out in the story.

The only sound the diver could hear was his own breathing. It was a strangely relaxing sound; one of the reasons Mike enjoyed being underwater so much. Mike knew, however, that he mustn't let his senses switch off; it could be incredibly dangerous diving at this depth if you stopped concentrating even for one minute. Despite enjoying himself, Mike concentrated on the mission he'd be tasked with. He shone his spotlight down towards the murky depths below, and with a powerful push of his flippers he began the descent...

Serena, a mermaid princess, turns 20 and receives a vision of her soulmate who turns out to be a human man. With only one year to find him before her heart stops beating, Serena decides to leave the sea and go to the surface, despite the dangers. In order to keep their connection, she must win his heart before someone else steals him from her. But she has to navigate the challenges of living on land while keeping the fact that shes a mermaid hidden.

I started to swim up, but I was pulled back when James didn't release my hand. I looked back and he had an urgent expression on his face. "If you are not back on the beach before the light leaves the horizon, I coming to look for you." "James, I may not trust you." I said giving him what I hoped was a sincere look. "But I never make it a habit of mine to brake my promises." With that he let me go, and I was left to wonder what the hell I had gotten myself into. Arina just wants to take a relaxing vacation with her family and escape life of problems for a little while. But after some strange and dangerous encounters with the sea's inhabitants, she might just be dragged down into the depths of a whole different world of troubles. I don't know completely how this book is going to go, but I will finish it and I plan on making it awesome. I may or may not include some scenes that may not be appropriate for younger viewers. (Just a warning)

I'm Amythyst, but you can call me Amy. My friend, Aquamarine (I call her Aqua, Marie/Mary, or Rina) calls me that anyway. Sometimes I think the two of us are destined for trouble. Oh, and another thing...we're not people like you. We're, uh, mermaids.

We all know the stories that end in happily ever after, but these all seem rather trivial at the surface level. What if our favorite characters had psychological stresses like each one of us? (anxiety, PTSD, etc.)? My creation is a modern (Cell Phones/Cars/etc.) take on what happens right after the wedding scene on the barge. It's our favorite couple, Ariel/Eric, facing the life ahead of them of being in charge of the kingdom, and eventual task of starting a family. This tells the adventures, troubles & everything in between. Queen Athena's still alive. No crossovers/genderbends, but HEA. All references belong to Disney, and this story is dedicated to the "Little Mermaid" cast, Howard Ashman, and all of the dreamers like me out there, who continue to look for the next adventure. I hope you enjoy.

Once upon a time there were two flippers; one with legs and one with a tail. One was a princess; admired and adored. The other was a seashell scrubbing mermaid. Both wanted to escape.
