this is a small 4am writing project that came out of an impulsive decision that my adhd and bipolar were both arguing about. This short is about trauma and ptsd, and other themes that may resonate with you. Enjoy.

Seven ancient bound figures lie in the earth, cursed to watch and wait, drawing the living into their ranks until none can tell how many truly remain.

First published story!! Let me know if you guys want a part 2.. The story isn't just an eerie fiction supernatural horror - it's a psychological mirror of something real and deeply human. Here are a few interpretations you could relate to and/or picture from it: part 1. Erin's reflection, acting on its own, can symbolize the feeling of losing your sense of self - how easily we can become strangers to ourselves. The mirror could also represent control - something in your life that slowly takes over when you ignore it. This mirrors how toxic thoughts, abusive relationships, or unhealthy habits feed on focus and fear. The more energy you give them, the more they consume - until you're the one trapped behind the glass. Part 2: It reflects the idea that we can inherit others' pain if we're not careful - emotional hauntings passed from one person to the next. Also, it's about the danger of trying to save someone who has already surrendered to their darkness, only to be dragged in yourself.

Nothing ever mattered. Nothing ever did. Nothing had a purpose anymore, just as life never had a purpose anymore. Nothing made an impact, not the slightest bit. No. Nothing changed, nothing changed. It all just stayed the same as always. The same new world in the same old shell of what once was. That's how it was. That's how it's always been, ever since you were a little child, since you were born into this new world of old, born from a faceless lifegiver. You don't mind it, the repetition gives you a sense of something, makes you feel less alone, less forgotten. Forever and for always. The same. Or is it? Something calls you from the deep beyond. An unexpected experience that she didn't know could alter her way into survival of existence. Its holding her hostage. I made this quite quickly as I just wanted to get it out there. Mental health is a serious issue in our community, society and overall world. I wrote this to share my experience, I'm still having these issues currently and struggling.
