For all the things that your heart wants to scream out in agony, but is choked down by guilt or some other captor. Simply put, welcome to your corner of unsaid things.

Lena and Evelyn explore their long-buried feelings and histories in further detail in Chapter 4. After a great deal of trepidation, Evelyn starts reading the first letter Julian wrote her. Lena stares as she reads, burdened by Evelyn's agonizing regrets and Julian's unwavering devotion. The letters demonstrate Julian's steadfast loyalty and his vow to wait for her despite their separation. For the first time, Evelyn genuinely comprehends the love that had been unsaid for so long, and she is overcome with emotion as she learns the depth of his sentiments. Lena urges Evelyn to read the letters and confront the past to pay tribute to the unfulfilled love. As Evelyn finally recognizes the love that was always there, even though circumstances had forced them apart, the chapter highlights this bittersweet moment of closure. Because the words on the page provide Evelyn with a road to healing as well as a window into Julian's heart, this chapter represents a turning point for both women. The narrative approaches a state of tranquility in which the past is respected and let go. Finding closure, dealing with the hurt of silent love, and understanding that sometimes letting go is the best way to go ahead are the topics of this chapter.

As I navigate through these turbulent waters of disappointment and loneliness, I can't help but wrestle with feelings of inadequacy and a deep yearning for something more. The success of those around me only magnifies my own doubts, casting a long shadow over my sense of self-worth. In "How Can The Day Be So Long?" I explore the depths of these complex emotions, diving into the challenges of identity, belonging, and the resilience needed to push through adversity. The story is a reflection of the struggles we all face in our journey to find meaning and peace in a world that often feels overwhelming.

THE STORY OF A PERSON WHO WANTS TO PURSUE HER DREAMS

A short story about a man who falls in love with a younger woman, and wants to divorce his wife.

Is there an unfulfilled desire that you keep hidden in the deep, dark recesses of your heart? Your one day dream... I wonder how many people come to the end of their life with that dream still unfulfilled? Whoa, what a depro intro. But reader, I want you to feel the tension I feel when I write about this. Don't get me wrong, some dreams should probably never see the light of day. Tik Tok is evidence of this. Some people should never be dancers, some should never sing, some should never write. At least not publicly. Some of these pursuits are better left to showers and bedrooms and diaries. That doesn't mean we can't do it, or shouldn't do it. In fact, I would hazard to say that every person should give that lurking dream a good chance at life. Even if it's just to say: "I tried, I failed, and in failing I discovered something new about myself. Now on to the next dream..."
