'I'm going to need some of your guys help with this song. Sing the other parts with me.' I cheered to the small crowd that surrounded me. It was risky because I knew no one would sing but there was hope. Like the hope in everyday that keeps me going. 'I don't like walking around this old and empty house.' I waited for the crowd to sing the next bit. 'Well take my hand I'll walk with you my dear.' I continued as no one sang. 'The stairs creek as I sleep it's keeping me awake. It's the house telling you to close your eyes.' Still no one. Some people left and some more arrived, but the numbers were going down. 'Some days I can't even trust my self. It's killing me to see you this way.' I heard someone muffled voice sing the last bit, but it was coming closer. 'And though the truth may vary this ship will carry our bodies safe to shore.' I continued singing and so did the voice. It was getting closer and finally it made its way to the front of the crowd. It belonged to a curly haired boy and deep brown eyes. I recognised him and didn't know why. I nodded at him while strumming my guitar for him to sing the next bit. 'Dint listen to a word I say.' 'Hey' I sang. 'The screams all sound the same.' 'Hey.' 'And though the truth may vary this ship will carry our bodies safe to shore.' We sang together 'After finishing the duet I looked down in my old tin can and realised I had at least five pounds. That was a warm sausage roll and a coffee and maybe even a small thing for breakfast tomorrow. ************************************* Alana is just a poor homeless girl living on the streets of London.
