My experience with teenage love

An altered recount of a true story that happened to me. My first boyfriend turned out to be manipulative and cruel, just my luck. In this story, the MC is an unlucky, gullible girl who desperately wants to feel loved by someone, so she gives in to the pressure from her best friend to start dating her [the best friend's] cousin. In this tale of twisted heartbreak and manipulation, she gets told the ultimate lie. A lie so fucked up and elaborate that to this day I still question if it were true. Enjoy my pain, everyone. I sure as hell didn't.

Everleigh has not had the best experience with boys, every time she asks a crush out they reject her. She doesn't let it take a tole of her though and is actually confident in herself. Will her view on boys change when they new boy Jake has an interest in her?
