There was one time ago, a girl living in a harmonious life. But she didn't think the world was meant for her. That she does not fit into her society. That there is something 'wrong' with her world. From the comfort of her haven, she noticed there is something else that doesn't fit in her world. And everything that she knows about her world wasn't the real 'truth'. So, is the world she lives in has always been a 'fake'? Should she wake up from her fairy-tale life?

When everything casual seems to hold a deeper meaning to your life without you realising.

The prologue for a fantasy novel (unsure when it will continue, I wrote it for a competition). Dragons arrive in a valley next to a small town: is the Dragon Witch truly a freind, or will they be on the wrong side of history?

I don't know completely how it'll turn out at this point, I'm just seeing where it takes me but I don't have a definite plan so far. I do want it to have an end at some point so it wont go on forever. So far, its about a girl who's recently been uprooted from her life in the city to be enrolled at a boarding school called Silverswift Academy/Institute in the middle of the English countryside. Things seem to be going alright but she cant seem to shake the feeling in the back of her mind that something weird is going on... or has gone on in the past maybe, and after a strange dream on her first night, the feeling just grows. Old truths rattle around in a locked room at the end of a disused corridor, hidden for years, waiting for someone to set them free. Could she be the key or is she just another pin in the lock to keep whats inside hidden from the world.

Upon returning home from a job well done I find a letter waiting for me, one asking me to meet up for a possible job offer that would end up changing my life forever. Was the money really worth the drama that came with being hired as a surrogate?

He was the type to shrug at ruin. Cold, cocky, careless-his mask was confidence, but beneath it lay only dust and absence. Promises meant nothing. Apologies never came. He moved through others' lives like a storm without aftermath, leaving behind silence, not sorrow. At least, that's what he told himself. But now, something clings to him. A shadow etched in red. A raven, slick and bleeding with memory, has nested on his head-its claws sunk into the rot of everything he pretended not to feel. No one else sees it, but it watches him constantly, whispering truths he spent years ignoring. He doesn't remember the names of those he hurt. But the raven does. And as the walls of his reality melt into guilt-soaked hallucinations, the figure who once stood above it all is forced to reckon with a version of himself even he forgot existed. He is nameless. He is forgotten. But the raven remembers.
