Open was the door.

There had always been, for whatever reason, a path leading into the forest. This was weird, since as long as I could remember no one had set foot back there.

I'm the type of person to get caught up in the schemes and plans of others, especially those of my friend Emily Penrose. When she broached the subject of breaking into Walt Disney World, I was completely against it. I wasn't able to stand my ground, and I got pulled into the plan. This is our story.

There are no doors. There are no windows. Only mirrors. Mirrors that show me the image of a complete stranger. . . How did I get here? How do I get out? Is there any way out?

There is, in an area of the world without name, a lake. The lake strikes anxiety and unease into the souls of the men and women that dwell nearby. It is avoided, men and women refuse to talk about it and condition others to ignore it, to simply rest in a state of constant denial that the lake exists.
