Kai was a writer, a soul who found solace in the worlds he created on his screen. But one rainy night, a single line stared back at him, shattering his reality: "Can my story world be real?"In the blink of an eye, the world glitched. A sickening crunch of metal, a flash of blinding light, and Kai woke up in a world that wasn't his own.Welcome to Albenia. A dystopian reality where the sky is hollow, emotions are a crime, and love is a documented transaction. Here, humanity is not felt-it is regulated. At the center of this cold machine stands Goddess Ren, a deity who has shackled the hearts of millions, turning the world "flat" and lifeless. Caught between a rebellion led by a mysterious man named Zeus and the iron fist of a Goddess who knows his every move, Kai discovers a terrifying truth: He isn't just a visitor. He is the spark. In a world where every action feels scripted, Kai must find the strength to seize the pen from the hands of fate. But as the lines between creator and creation blur, he is haunted by one final, chilling question:If I am the hero of this story... then who is the one writing me?

This is my modified random, extremely short short story I wrote as a joke. Call it a political statement on the absurdity of societal expectations and values. Also, not an appropriation of Shakespeare. The title just seemed to fit (to me anyway). The difference between the first version and this one is that this is the one I wrote in my preliminary HSC English exam (that's like the 2nd-last final exam of highschool for all you non-NSW-non-Aussies ;-) ). Also, the protagonist is now a dude. And I like to think this version is slightly better than the previous one - not because the protagonist is a dude but because I wrote the story better. Read it or don't read it, it's only about 700 words. If you decide to read it and get some ideas out of it, well good for you! Just don't outright plagarise; we all know that's wrong.

Dark. It was dark. I felt the hairs of my neck stand on end. Something was not right. Creaking assaulted my ears, not a moment later fading out of existence, leaving a faint ringing at the suddenly silenced sound. A light. A small, glowing spot of light. It expanded, leaving a galaxy of glittering specks. They appeared. They chased me. Hunted me down. Tuesday. It all began, on Tuesday

Aria has always felt slightly out of place, but she never expected the truth to be this strange. A moment of déjà vu turns into a glitch. A routine conversation repeats like a broken record. And suddenly the world around her feels scripted everyone moving, speaking, smiling like they're following lines she can't seea. A therapist's mindfulness sessions begin to unravel the lie: the city isn't awake at all. Its people aren't living... they're programmed. As Aria becomes the first to truly see, she draws the attention of The Chorus, the hidden force that keeps the world dreaming. Once you wake up, nothing is safe not the truth, not your mind, and certainly not your life.

Welcome to HollowBrook a picturesque college town with smiling neighbors, scripted lives, and a stage beneath every streetlamp. When Kirius Vulpino enrolls at Orius Victus College Institution, he expects lectures, textbooks, maybe a bit of drama. What he finds instead is a town where nothing is real and everyone is watching. The sky never quite sets. The actors never quite blink. And the roles everyone plays? They're not just performances. They're bindings. Kirius begins to unravel the horrifying truth: HollowBrook isn't a place it's a show, and the audience is something far beyond human. Everyone has a part to play. Fail your role, and the Script rewrites you. But what if Kirius was never meant to follow the script Or is it just him following his role? A town of illusion. A cast of broken souls. A cosmic performance that cannot end. ⸻ CONTENT WARNINGS: Themes of existential dread, manipulation, mental breakdowns, unreality, trauma, and horror.

There is the Imagination Factory, in the realm of the Ultimate Dead. There is the living, who sport lines from their eyes; they remember each life they have ever lived. There is the end, where they have met their soulmate, and one life with them must make up for hundreds of years apart. There is a hero. There is a villain. There is death. There is life after death. There is rebellion. Lives that were always fated to meet will and have already done so.

These lines describe a vivid and surreal exploration of the mind's complex and fractured nature. The imagery suggests a distortion of reality, where hallucinations, illusions, and dissonance blend into a tapestry of unreality. The use of shadows, echoes, and fractured surfaces symbolizes the unraveling of both the external world and the internal self, creating a haunting and disquieting beauty within the chaos. The reference to the mind as a fractured canvas implies a profound introspective journey where forgotten truths whisper amid the shattered fragments of the soul.
