The series of poems reflects themes of longing , despair , self destruction and the struggle between hope and hopelessness. it's a mix of self reflection and one's rejection of negative labels.

How I wish to be inbetwen her arms. Intangled in the coin of rage and passion, I wish I could shine as for her as she did me. Her soft lips entangled with my chapped ones would be too much to bear. Let me worship her on pedestal and clean the dust with my blood. For she is my Estelle, and I am her Mona. And no matter how many exist, I am the only one who exists for her.
