wondroustales
Hector is nothing but a prisoner. He finds himself in a dungeon with no knowledge of his past or the identity of his captors. He studies his prison thoroughly, hoping to find clues that might uncover the nature of his imprisonment. But the depravity of his prison reveals nothing, and as a result he relies on a combination of conjecture and imagination. He can only dream of the world outside.
When Hector begins to meet other prisoners, he learns about the Stallers - masked guards that exploit men and women who suffer from the same amnesia. They imprison countless innocents and refuse to explain why. Despite his memory loss, Hector soon discovers that he had once lived a captivating life, cut short by an intended death. But that life has been replaced with his current one, a sad, dreary existence filled with suffering and longing. With a fevered passion, Hector desires escape; both from the Stallers, and from his troubled past. He is led away from his prison in an unexpected way, but the shadow of his past lingers.
He enters a world he does not recognize, a world where he has yet to find his place. More answers about his life are revealed, but still he is a stranger to himself. He joins the Stallers' enemies, hoping to find revenge and recover from his experience in prison. He seeks to cast aside the prisoner, but his wounds cannot heal. He must search for someone who haunts his memories, a woman he fears has died. His search leads him back to the most unlikely of places, and there the ultimate revelation about his life is uncovered.
