May mga tanong na hindi nasagot. At higit sa lahat... may mga salitang hindi nakarating. Years passed. Nagbago ang panahon. Nagbago ang mga tao. Pero may mga sugat na marunong maghintay. At kapag dumating ang tamang oras... babalik sila na parang kahapon lang ang lahat. Pero paano kung sa muling pagkikita nila, saka pa lang lalabas ang mga lihim? Paano kung ang akala nilang pagtatapos... simula pa lang pala ng katotohanan? At paano kung sa oras na handa na silang magmahal ulit... too late na? "Hindi lahat ng nawala ay kusang umalis. May iba... sadyang inalis."

They say time heals everything. But no one talks about the memories that stay exactly the same. The ones that replay at 2AM. The ones that still feel warm- even after everything turned cold. I remember it all. Too clearly. Too vividly. Too much. And maybe that's why I'm still here- stuck in a story you already forgot.

Some prose personal to me. This was a final project for one of my undergrad English classes, and someone told me I should share it online, so here it is. I was particularly inspired by Ocean Vuong's On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous. A while ago I wrote a bunch of letters to my exes with no intention of ever sending them. Yet...one day in my mailbox I uncovered one answer after the other.

Set during the First World War, the story intends to explore the different perspectives of two individuals through a series of letters. Some meant to be read, some not. This version shows a life cut short by war, with love and hope tucked away in his pocket. He died holding onto words meant for someone who would never know the truth. Another version, written in collaboration with @enjayj - a quiet life, marked by the memory of someone he could never forget. His letters remained unsent, his love folded away with the parts of himself the world was never meant to see.

It is always going to be just you, the stars and some pages lying all over your place, And you will wait for a language to speak about things that haunts you, but I think you will prefer staying quiet. I guess, Unsaid Words are a language of their own, in torn pieces, in pages of old letters, or a journal you hide from the world. <3
