After the death of his parents, a young man moves to a new town with his girlfriend and little sister, not knowing the secret of the town and home they now inhabit.

In Chapter 1 - Crossways, Tony spends the weekend with his sister and her family, and gets a late start for home Sunday night. Too tired to continue, he parks on the side of the road for a short nap. He wakes up too late to make it to work on time. But, as he'll soon discover, losing his job will be the least of his worries. Chapter 1 is less than 1,000 words. A Clean Cut in the Bloated Flesh: Livestock falls over dead and strange apparitions are seen as a small town is covered in a plague of flies. Ribbereye: The call came long and low over the hills. He couldn't identify it, but it filled him with dread.
