Terrans are not the strongest species in the universe. They are not the fastest species. They are most definitely not the smartest. But Terrans are the loneliest, willing to befriend anything that moves and several things that don't. After humanity nearly made themselves extinct with a "Terran brand oopsie"™, trillions of Terrans awaken from stasis and set themselves upon a Galaxy teeming with alien life, each writing their own story among the stars. Stories of compassion, of anger, of revenge, of justice. Stories of the clever and stories of the downright stupid. But mostly the story of Terrans looking for the one thing that all beings desire: Friendship amongst a lonely universe.

The Quaid-e-Azam (Father of The Nation) of the textbooks-the distant, immaculate lawyer-needs a patch. Forming an unlikely partnership, the modern systems thinker and the Edwardian barrister abandon the politics of London and Delhi. Instead, they retreat to the forgotten backwaters of Montgomery to attempt something dangerous: Project Sandalbar. Their goal is not rebellion-but construction. To build a functioning prototype state inside the belly of the British Empire. Armed with modern knowledge of logistics, communication networks, and resource management-wielded through Jinnah's razor-sharp legal mind-they begin engineering a sanctuary against the coming storm. The Mission: Turn a dust-bowl estate into a self-sustaining fortress. The Tools: Sanitation protocols, radio networks, cooperative economics, and a militia disguised as farm guards. The Obstacles: Feudal lords, imperial suspicion, religious extremism, and the ticking clock of history. They are not fighting for independence. They are building a lifeboat. Can a game developer and a lawyer "mod" the operating system of the Raj before the server crashes?

For a hundred years, the Galactic Council celebrated Humanity as a "success story": a once- isolated Deathworld species uplifted into the harmony of interstellar law. But the fine print kept growing. Treaty addenda became cultural mandates. Cultural mandates became enforcement. Enforcement became ownership. Then, without warning, Earth transmits a single, immaculately polite missive: Humanity revokes its own membership due to Cultural Irreconcilability. The Council panics- because the treaties were never meant to be escapable... and because the humans wrote their exit clause a century ago.
