Reginald, a brilliant hacker with a passion for social justice, sat in front of his computer, his eyes scanning the lines of code streaming across the screen. He was a master of his craft, able to navigate even the most secure systems with ease. But Reginald didn't hack for personal gain or to cause chaos. He did it for the good of the people. Reginald was an anarchist at heart, and he dreamed of a world where there was no government, no rulers, only a community of individuals who worked together to help each other. A world where everyone was equal, where there was no rich or poor, only people trading skills and goods to get what they needed.

It was judgement day. For Meg Carter all she ever knew was that when she turned sixteen her fate would be chosen. Will she be Perfect like her mother, father, and sister...or will she be Imperfect and have to face a fate worse than death, exile from Scancton the only safe place left on earth after the Revolution.

Jenny picked up Sage's limp body in her arms and carried him inside, leaving Mujo outside alone to play with Sage's toy train. The train's painted on smiley face somehow took Mujo's thought elsewhere, away from Sage and all his replacements.

A world divided by genetics. It's simple really. Have the people with the strongest genetics for survival stay, have the weak and sickly genes sent away. Now don't get it wrong, this has nothing to do with the color of a person's skin, hair, eyes, the numbers of fingers and toes the person has or even how attractive a person may potentially be. In this world if you have a 30% or higher chance of getting a disease, disorder or malfunction, you're sent away. This causes many complications and stipulations to occur. These two societies that govern and the possibility of a third that has been burned out of history. 16 year old Alicia Rain lives in a dream world. Everything anyone wants (excluding harm to anyone and ruling/making laws) will come to them. Though the dream world exists, it all feels fake to her. Alicia is the only one who can see reality. She can barely even grasp this reality, though. Alicia tells her parents, but they don't believe her. Furious, Alicia attempts to get to this "reality" using her mind (as she would to get what she wants in the dream world . . .) several times. After weeks of doing this, she finally escapes, and makes a living in the real world. But when people from the dream world start to go after her, WHAT WILL SHE DO? She has two options. Jeneria: The White Citadel is a fantasy novel crafted by Bradley Kim. It centers on young protagonist Jenn, who moves with her family to the mighty city of Denethgilne for her father to find work and lift them out of the country-wide poverty caused by a great war in the past. At first Jenn is excited by the city and the new friends and opportunities it brings her, but soon she discovers that Denethgilne has a city within a city, a place Jenn will wish that she had never discovered. It is here that she'll see the real reason why the rest of the great city seems so peaceful and idyllic, where the Highers and their strict laws keep total control of the city-dwellers, by any means necessary. Author Bradley Kim has crafted a slow-burning tale filled with suspense and vivid descriptions of Jenn's new world, and though the action takes a while to kick in, it's well worth the wait. I thoroughly enjoyed his cast of characters, who felt like real people that were easily imagined in my mind, and I found that I genuinely felt connected to young Jenn as her adventure unfolded. I felt it really added something to the story to see it told through such young eyes, where adult readers can piece together the darkness of the inner city before Jenn's innocent mind can work it all out. Jeneria: The White Citadel is, at its heart, a grisly tale of utopia gone wrong, but it is told with the graceful innocence of childhood, which makes it all the more chilling. #featured
