Thit, the upright,formidable lawyer, further fuelled into avenging the death of his fiancee allegedly caused by the alluring actress Jee, after his own brush with death, in a hit and run accident deemed orchestrated by her, in hand with her retinue of cohorts, to annihilate him, sees an unexpected end to his long drawn mission.

Brand enjoys his quick rise to fame after his commercial for a perfume company was released. That 30-second TV commercial attracted fans, press, and entertainment industry of his fresh face, a dashing guy on TV with heart-melting stares and his trademark, knee-weakening wink. He became a sensational man of the moment... Dubbed as the golden boy of the network, ratings-maker, and CF prince, Brand made a fortune of his own. When anonymous posts about his "girlfriend" surfaced online, he became the subject of rumors and gossips. He's quick to dismiss that it's just a rumor and therefore not true. But the issue got bigger when a photo of the "girlfriend" when she was young came out. As her sweet voice flowed around him in melody, he couldn't help his thoughts invariably returning to their promise of an eternal future together that had sadly ended prematurely on a bitter note , wondering painfully if there would be a chance for them, but dismissing it as mere wishful thinking, resuming his focus instead on the purpose of him being in the midst of the function as an uninvited guest.

He focused his attention on the group, directing them a sharp gaze, an unconscious habit, to root out any form of duplicity. The sudden stirrings at his heart surprised him. He had considered himself immune, this another day's work.

He had been at the threshold of calling it a day, considering this, his final act of duty, not expecting it leading him, to the woman of his dreams, only, to ultimately lose her, in the most devastating way possible

She gazed, surprised at his new avatar, so achingly familiar yet so remote, so valiant in form yet so foreboding, feeling her heart constrict painfully in rememberance of their eternal, unspoken promise to each other, emotions presumed obliterated, springing to life, coursing wildly through her. His eyes took in her pale, distant look, feeling his heart squeeze painfully in his chest at her fragility, bringing forth emotions kept tightly in check, rioting through him, remembering her trusting and innocent sweetness, compounding his own feelings of anguish and helplessness.

As far as the investigation was concerned, apart from the insights provided, it hadn't supplied any vital information. The irony of it was that he too had gotten sidetracked.

He watched her, his eyes taking in her lovely form, regal as always, delight observing her cheerful countenance, mingling with the pain of what was not meant to be, wishing almost painfully for things to be different between them, anger chasing in its wake, making him want to take a fist at the creep who had unjustly hurt her.
