This is part 2 of my fanfic series, so If you haven't read the prequel of this story "Botw Reimagined: The Past", I highly recommend reading it before starting on this if you don't want to get confused. Moving from the past of breath of the wild, we finally get to the game portion of the story. Any feedback is appreciated, as well. (Story) 100 years after the tragedy that was the Great Calamity, Hyrule has finally seemed to have regained its footing. However, the seal on Calamity Ganon seems to be weakening, threatening to break any day now. Fortunately for Hyrule, a hero who has been thought long dead finally returns from a long slumber. That hero is Link. After sleeping for 100 years, Link seems to have lost all of his memories, especially the memories of his failure to protect those that he loved. of course, All rights to any known part of the game go to Nintendo please Nintendo, do not strike me down before I finish this series.

Hyrule Academy is perfect. Perfect grades. Perfect uniforms. Perfect lies. Zelda Hyrule has spent her whole life trying to live up to her father's impossible expectations. As Student Council President, she's the face of the school - polished, controlled, untouchable. But behind the perfect image is a secret she guards with her life: she's the anonymous voice behind Sheik, the underground blog exposing the academy's darkest truths. When Link and Y/n enter high school, they think it's going to be just like middle school: carefree, mischievous, and a quiet kind of loud. Meeting people they never thought they would meet, sports they wouldn't have expected to be good at, and confessions they never thought they would share; dam, sounds like a pretty good first year in high school. Urbosa calling Link "boy" in a memory triggers some dysphoria. Riju helps Link figure it out. Trans girl, autistic Link. Autistic Riju. Set right after Link receives the Urbosa's Hand memory. My self insert is mentioned (not by name), this is set in my self insert AU. TRIGGER WARNINGS: MINOR MENTION OF SUICIDE AND CHILD ABUSE, MINOR INNUENDO, MINOR ACCIDENTAL MISGENDERING (Buliara doesn't realize Link is a trans girl, calls her "he." Only happens once.)

In the land of Hyrule, events of eerie nature unfold pretty often. When things are calm and quiet, it almost feels like something is brewing in the shadows, waiting to reveal itself. Even when people yearn for serenity and stillness, an unusual occurrence is necessary to make the day feel complete. With many inexplicable incidents throughout the kingdom, the citizens grapple with more than just the looming threat of Calamity Ganon's return. Numerous enigmas have surfaced, shrouding the land in an aura of mystique and intrigue.

*Currently on hold might get picked back up but probably not any time soon... sorry* Calamity Ganon is on the brink of returning and all citizens of Hyrule are in a panic. Link has a new amount of stress on his shoulders ever since he pulled up the master sword and was revealed to be the chosen one that is meant to seal the darkness. Him and four others were appointed champions that are to work together to seal the Calamity away. Along with this Link has the stress of wanting to keep a good relationship with his father and sister as well as figure out these sudden feelings he is having for the Zora Princess as well as protecting Princess Zelda who continues to give him the cold shoulder. As Hyrule gets closer to the day of Calamity Ganon's return Link and the other champions have to learn how to get along and perfect their roles. Something nobody else seems to remember is that Link and Zelda are both only 16/17 and have the fate of Hyrule resting on their shoulders. Will Hyrule be saved or will it crumble to pieces in front of these two young hero's eyes? . . Cover art is not mine. Artist - Lew Hashimoto I am aware that they recently released a prequel to Breath of the Wild but I have wanting to write my own for the longest time and am just now getting around to it. This is just what I imagined happened and Link's personality is the personality I imagine him having, my apologize if you don't agree. Hanao is a hylian just exploring Hyrule, but one day you were invited to the castle, and who knows what happened? You met a strange Rito, he didn't seem to like you at first sight. I recently changed the character name to Hanao, but still using direct address like 'you' so if you still want to read this book and really get a x reader feel then just imagine Hanao is changed to (Y/n).
