It's 132 years after the fall of Galbatorix, and the Riders are finally returning. A young girl sees a thunder of dragons flying overhead whilst out playing with her friends, and knows exactly what she wants to be. Ten years on, she still possesses that wish. Despite the wishes of her overly-controlling father, she sneaks out to the Egg Ceremony - and all hell breaks loose.

On a hiking trip, Lena got lost in the woods, no not lost, transported to another world. Lena, a pretty normal girl from Earth, suddenly finds herself in Alagaesia, a world full of magic and creatures of fantasy. It is there that she learns about the prophecy, a prophecy about how a girl from Earth is supposed to come to Alagaesia in their time of need. Yet, Lena soon discovers that she is not alone; Morgan, another girl from Earth and Lena's sworn enemy, is also in Alagaesia. What happens when the two girls learn of each others existence? After Eragon descended to the isles to the far right of Alagaësia, few have been sent to the East to join Eragon and the elves. This is the story of one boy, a poor boy in the matter of fact but with a strong heart.

Addiane found her life to be comfortable enough. She may not have known her family, but she was fed and taken care of by those she lived with. She rarely feared for her life, and she was being taught valuable life lessons by those around her. Of course, training to be a Dragon Rider under the Shadeslayer himself, the first proper Rider in a long time, was a major bonus. Addiane wouldn't have thought she'd ever want to leave their little haven. Her curiosity simply got the better of her when Eragon's cousin made a plea for assistance, describing terrifying marauders and bowmen whose aim had been blessed by gods. And of course there was the man who rode the red dragon. Addiane had to know more about him, and about what was going on in the mountains that Eragon Shadeslayer had once called home. Kings and Queens rule the land of Alagaesia and the land has prospered since Galbatorix's downfall and Queen Nasuada's rise to the throne. Arya has been a loyal queen to the elven race and the dwarves have come from hiding and have formed cities overground. The world has been a peaceful place and Murtagh and Thorn have visited ever so often to bid hello to their queen. Now, when Eragon took the eggs, elves and eldunari to the unknown he had no idea he would create a new home. A new rider rose amidst Du Weldenvarden and gleaned the title of Dragon Whisper. She went to Eragon in search of guidance and a Quest that she begun many a year ago.
