In the western front in Europe in World War II, the allies were pushing to mainland Germany. They used strategic bombing to their advantage. B-29's were the best allied bomber in the late years of WWII. One of them, code named Red Dragon.

A doctor in the United States Air Force has a serious car crash. As he awakes from a coma he sees his life in a different light. We hear his side of the story alternating with his wife's side. The conflicts between the two people become the focus of the story.

The story follows the life of David, a young man whose reckless and unusual past (previously being the spotlight of his team mates and coworkers), made him want to be alone for the rest of his life; before, following his life principles where he devoted to protect those whom he cared, he now finds himself in a dead end with no one to protect or care for, (living with apparently no goal in his life), until an unexpected meeting happens with someone who might change it all and again, he might live once again for said principles he abandoned, however David finds himself reluctant to help this person even when he promised to help those who needed a helping hand and this person is one of these. Why is this? Could it be the result of a series of unfortunate episodes in his life or maybe the young man just got tired of fighting for his principles and the cause he once used to believe and fight for?
