He attempts to flunk the U.S. Army entrance exam by intentionally selecting the wrong answers, thinking the Army will throw him out because he is too dumb. To his dismay, the Army doesn't care how smart you are, they have a job for everyone. His Army Drill Instructor, SSG Willie White confronts Donny and gives him a choice. Continue in his noncooperation path or try out for one of the most elite units in the military. The story follows his path.

A young adult joins the U.S. Army with plans to watch his own back and eventually get into college. Not having any friends in the Army he has no one to worry about, but himself. When his two roommates don't know his back story, but gradually get to know him better, he leaves a bigger impact on their lives than anyone had planned.

For the future soldier training, Sgt. Hernandez and the others are waiting for us to get dressed while at the girls locker room, Karisma, Christine, Diane and the group of our friends are still changing and others are in the bathroom, showering, peeing and pooping. After changing out in the locker room, Sgt. Hernandez are taking us to Marriott in Stockton, California just for the MEPS (Military Entrance Processing Station) at first we had to get our bags packed, pantiliners, pads, shampoos, soaps and other stuff, also our pjs and clothes. While Bruno Mars is away at work, me and my friends were left alone with the recruiters.

Alison Burns was 8 years old when her father, a second generation war veteran and Army Sergeant Major (SGM), was killed in Iraq. It's now 10 years later, Ally is 18 and is eligible for her own service tour enlistment. Desperately following in her father's footsteps, she an obsessively hardworking soldier, this gains her an accelerated promoted rate. Eventually, gaining the rank of Corporal in her 4th year of service. She soon receives her deployment orders after her reenlistment is processed. She serves 2 tours in Afghanistan and then continues on to Fairford Airforce base in England. But she hasn't exactly stayed in one piece though combat.
