Umeko didn't really have much interest in anything other than the creative arts so it was only natural she didn't know much about volleyball. She had no reason to go to the gym, no reason to talk to the members of the club and certainly no reason to meet the captain of the team. However, a series of totally unplanned cliché events changed that. Soon she found herself very involved with the team and especially it's captain.

You had just recently transferred from Nekoma in Tokyo to come to Shiratorizawa because your family wanted you to attend school with your brother. One day your godforsaken brother pushed you into the volleyball boys gym and that's where you met them. you recently moved from Tokyo to Miyagi for you're mothers job. But go back and forth as your father still lives in Tokyo (they are divorced) for volleyball. While both your parents know a lot about volleyball you yourself don't know much apart from the basic rules. Yet you find yourself enrolled at Shiritorizawa Academy, and have no clue what to do there or who to be friends with. And yet you manage to catch Shiritorizawas star ace's attention. And of course it wouldn't be school if drama wasn't included. Author: just to clarify you and Ushijima are in your first year of High school. Shirabu, who have been your first lover, and most of the team thinks that You and Shirabu was almost the perfect couple for them except for one person in the team.
