Despite the title, the story introduces a vast expansion in the world and lore of gate as well as changes, but everything remains true to the Gate formula. At first It was supposed to be only a Gate X Marine fanfic but over time it developed into an alternative plot line diverging from the original so don't be surprised why the first season strictly sticks to canon.

She lost her parents within a year of each other and she was manipulated by a man who she thought loved her but in reality used her to take the job that she had as a producer on Broadway. Not only did he steal her job but her music and songs as well. No one believed her when she told them what happened and she was promptly demoted. She decided to quit and go back to school and get her degree in psychology. Now she works as a musical therapist and helps people who suffer from PTSD, depression, bipolar disorder and Anxiety disorder. She loves her job and the people but she doesn't trust anyone. That is until she come face to face with Damon Whitefeather, a broken war veteran who needs her help. Can Damon and Nadia let go of their pasts for a bright future or will they let old wounds stop them from getting their happily ever after. Marie and Aaron have been friends for years. They went to high school together. Hangout together. Relied on each other.
