As we approach the middle of the 21st century, it's clear that a lot has already changed and more changes are imminent. Old-working practices have been gradually replaced by technology and slowly fewer jobs have been created to replace them. Technology has made human working practices and how society functions redundant, as we've seen with the replacement of horses by combustion engines, automation in factories, online stores replacing brick-and-mortar ones, self-service checkouts, automated phone calls, self-driving vehicles replacing human drivers and AI programs that can write and design. Against this backdrop of upheaval, a new world is needed, one that can accommodate these changes and offer a path forward for humanity. In Redundant, we follow the story of ordinary people, someone just like you or me, as they navigate this shifting landscape. Through their experiences, we explore the various options available to us as we seek to build a better future. Will we choose to embrace these changes, or will we resist them? What challenges and opportunities will we face along the way? Only time will tell, but one thing is certain, the world as we know it will never be the same again.

They are discriminated against and hated against, considered a different race other than humans. Sanctuaries formed to protect the sick. The Kreed sit as the only group that can stop the Rymar's advance against the Sick. And in all of this mayhem, murder, chaos and misery, Kade Malken and Rovan Kreesh's stories shall unfold.

This is a timeline history of the world (future Earth - AU - because i'm in denial of this Trump fiasco) in relation to a story-in-the-making (since like the 00's lol) called The Utopia. There will potentially be spoilers in this for my story (and/or it's potential sequel). Here is a synopsis of the Utopia: It is set in the near future (in the U.S.A) and there is a condition (The Goliath Syndrome) that is affecting boys (& later girls as well. Will explain a lil in timeline) . It causes young boys to increase rapidly in size starting at a young age (about 6 or 7). They end up being 12x normal human height (e.g. a person whom would have been 5'10" as a unafflicted human would be 70' tall as a human with the Goliath Syndrome. A complex labeled "The Utopia" was made up for them by scientists who were searching for a cure (well, more like a blockade in a diff work). the infected boys are taken from their parents (either as newborn babies or on the eve of their 6th birthday - it's up to the parents.) and put in the "Utopia". Basically, the Utopia is a huge city/complex. Also, the scientists feel the Utopians should be able to live a life in which they are encultured about the outside world as well as learn to deal with people a 12th the size of them. This leads to a program which pairs up a "Utopian" (young adult/17+) with another similarly aged young person (male or female, young adult/18+) in which they partner up and live with each other for around 1-5 years, with an opt-out option at the end of each year period. Each year spent at the utopia can go towards education. The other option is cold hard cash but the education funding is typically the more valuable option! There is a little bit of everything in this - action, adventure, drama, friendship, romance (but to note, one of the main two characters is aro ace so will not be saturated w/ romance), a bit of mystery (granted you don't read any spoilers), and so on!
