Conflict was inevitable. He knew that much. This country was going to be the death of him. He hoped it wasn't the other way around. He was comfortable with the fact, even, in his cottage outside of his little town, away from his family and their glancing eyes. He thought he was, certainly, until someone knocked on his door and greeted him with a ghost.
