17 year old Valerie Rockford and William Reid have been best friends for as long as they can remember. When Valerie lost her parents and older brother 4 years ago, Will couldn't help but feel as though they began to get very distant. Six months after Val left for a year of training to become a commander, Will begins his training for the captain spot. The two begin working in the field together during the last month, but when they return home, Val admits she had a crush on Will when they were 13. Will decides it's time to get himself together and maybe finally get the girl who hasn't left his head. Val is faced with either forgetting her feelings for Will and continue her life without him or keep chasing him. Seems pretty cringe worthy, but it's all I've got right now.
