In the year 95 AD, the Roman Empire was at its peak. But through all the wars, parties, and gladiator fights, one man struggled to find a life for his family. Valerius is caught stealing food for his family one night and is forced to fight in the Colosseum for his punishment, which is a near death sentence for anyone. Given no means of escape he is forced to fight for his freedom and for his loved ones. *So my English class is FINALLY making us write a short story instead of reading one! So we were tasked with writing a historical fiction and I'm really proud of how this turned out! Hopefully my teacher likes it too!*

Cassie keeps her new secret friend to herself, but when Valerius returns to town, will she open up the secret she's been hiding? Will the discovery into a new unknown cause her to turn away? Who knows.

There's a killer on the loose in the school of the Valerius Institution. The Senior Year students of this elite boarding school are a special group: they are all very intelligent - this is something the admission test takes care off - and they are furthermore or extremely gifted in art, or a supreme athlete, or a talented hacker or an exceptional beauty. When one of them is killed, the clan decides to try to find the one responsible for the death of their friend as the police is groping in the dark. In their small, exclusive world, their teachers are the first suspects on the list. The motive of the serial killer is one that is almost impossible to discover. Why? It's hidden in the future.
