Just some helpful, easily condensed Tolkien lore for myself and others hoping to accurately explore Arda in fanfiction. I, Silz (as ElwingAndEarendil), was part of the SSG (Silmarillion Survival Guide) team on CouncilofElrond.com which put together a helpful Silmarillion guide for new and old readers alike. This book here is to further that concept and help with all sorts of Tolkien things, including notes in the History of Middle Earth volumes and other published writings.

A description of Valinor (inspired by the Silmarillion, Gandalf's 'death quote' and Legolas' Song of the Sea)

➵ With his days anything but numbered, Legolas finds himself the keeper of far too much time. ➵ As his dear friend Aragorn has passed at the age of 210 and all reason to remain in his kingdom has followed, the immortal elf ventures away from his lands, trying to understand what it means to die and if it is good that he will presumably never do it. ➵ His soul confused and his quiver always feeling a little emptier, Legolas begins to question what truly has worth and meaning as he sails with the dwarf Gimli and a hitchhiking cat westward to Aman. - Written for the Open Novella Contest, taking from fantasy prompt number twenty-three: "Under the blue moonlight, the elves come out. For a transient moment, let there be peace and harmony."

All are born with the ability for good or evil. The child itself is innocent. It is the person it grows to be that determines whether it is good or evil. Fëanáro's first thought was not of chaos or crafting. Just as with any innocent child, it was his mother that first graced his mind. This is just my take on the birth and adolescence of Fëanor's life. It's been an idea that has been running amuck in my brain for quite some time. Hope you enjoy it!

But she slowly begins to fall in love with his son Legolas, although she knows it is wrong, and after time, she discovers more about herself... and something evil in her begins to awake. ------------------------------------------------------- This is a story inspired by the Lord of the Rings books and movies, a story about how love and affection can heal a hopeless heart.

The Elves cannot leave Middle-Earth as Sauron has destroyed the Grey Havens making it impossible for them to leave for Valinor. They would have to unite with free people to overthrow Sauron and rebuild Mithlond.
