Throw in Dragon Hunters, Drago, the Red Death and you've got a whole lot of problems

Everyone thought Hiccup was the first Dragon Rider, then they found Valka, but what if there was another? Some one before Hiccup, but after Valka? Asael was born to a family of Dragon Hunters, she'd been raised to believe they were killing machines that needed to be exterminated. She, however, knew differently, they weren't as bad as people made them out to be, but speaking up to her parents? Not an option. Running away? Too dangerous. Her saviour came in the form of an odd masked woman on a Stormcutter. She attacked a scout ship the young girl was on one day, seeing the fear on the girls face when her family left her, fleeing for their own lives she took pity and brought her with her. Valka raised Asael like she was her own, and the girl grew attached to the dragons, especially a Nightfury that saved her during an attack from the Dragon Hunters. How would Asael react when Hiccup shows up one day?

Hiccup Horendous Haddock III loved Berk with all his heart. It was the place where he was born, and where his family lived for generations. He would do anything to keep them safe, to help them grow and improve, even if it meant he could no longer live on Berk itself. Even if it meant risking his own life. And even if it meant everyone there...thought he was dead.

Valka wasn't the only one taken that night. She had her friend's baby. The one and only, Astrid Hofferson.

Hiccup and his cousins, Snotlout and Sylvie, have become an inseparable trio over the years, not that most of Berk would know that, due to their needing to keep their friendship a secret. But when Hiccup befriends a dragon, things begin to change in inexplicable ways, and that's not even counting the very determined twin who is intent on making him see her as a potential partner in life, not that he realizes that, but, well...this is our sweet, oblivious Hiccup we're talking about. Through it all, Hiccup manages to defeat the Queen of the nest, but just because the dragons aren't attacking anymore, doesn't mean Berk will easily adapt to the changes. Tough decisions must be made that will change all they've ever known or dreamed of, leading them on the adventure of a lifetime. I don't own HTTYD or its characters.

Forced to flee Berk in order to save her life and that of her unborn child, Valka is taken in by dragons, proving that what she had believed all along was true. The only problem is that she made a promise. A promise to return with her child, the true heir of Berk, when they became of age. And that time had come, much to everyone's dismay. However, what the village never knew was that Hiccup secretly kept a dragon called Toothless and he learnt that not all dragons are mindless beasts that deserved to die and even learnt some tricks from it to become good in dragon training while also trying to stop the other teens from hurting the other dragons. However, one day he was walking home but suddenly, the jealous teens kidnapped him and threaten him to tell them how he was so good at dragon training, including his crush, Astrid Hofferson. Hiccup refused to tell them which resulted in the teens beat up him and left him to die. After Hiccup was taken to Gothi, he left Berk for good. After days of searching for a new home, he found a kingdom called Arendelle and the King and Queen of the kingdom took him in as one of their own. Hiccup and the eldest daughter of the King and Queen, Elsa ended up developing a crush with each other. Years later, Elsa was about to be crowned as Queen but Hiccup's past has came back to haunt him. Will he be able to overcome his past or will he crumble under the pressure.

Berk was the land of kill, or be killed. With Vikings and dragons feuding, thus was the way of life since the village's founding six generations ago.
