Joe was just trying to get to the bar to meet up with some friends for a beer when he came across what he thought was a mugging, and tried to play good Samaritan to a woman being surrounded by a group of men with clear violence in mind. Instead he finds finds himself needing saved, and everything he thought he knew about his friends, even his family, yanked out from under him as he drops straight into a world where Vampires, and possibly even other things that bump in the night are dangerously real, and not even the greatest threat he finds himself facing, just for having had an unexpected glimpse into a dark world with some real teeth.
