Book 1 of Sweet Lotus. The world has fallen to chaos. Everywhere you look, someone is on the verge of death, someone is in pain, someone is getting beaten or worse, being eaten. Yes indeed, this world is in chaos, but what's this? A young girl is still trying to see the world in a good light? How long untill she falls as the angel she is seen as? After all, in a world of chaos and ruin, every Angel will fall eventually.

Somehow, "vampires" had managed to live inconspicuously among humans for millions of years, until one day something snapped. Suddenly, they weren't covering their tracks. Was this to do with the "devastating" effects of global warming or had they just become reckless? Casualty after casualty was broadcasted for the whole world to see. Newborns were being created and left to fend for themselves. With no concept of how to control their new bodies or urges, the newborns created more newborns, resulting in an epidemic. I must confess that when I first heard talk of a "vampire apocalypse" I was somewhat intrigued. After seventeen years of a non-existent love life, I would finally get my Edward. Boy, did I have a wakeup call coming.

Jaclyn, a girl in a world torn apart by vampires, must survive as she struggles to learn a family history that is as terrifying as the vampires that swarm around her. A dark magic seems to swarm in and around Jaclyn, securing a fear that haunts her dreams. Meeting both friends and foes, she must learn how to save the human race from a devastating war as well as how to save herself from a fate worse than death.

It was a peaceful night. But then it wasn't soo peaceful after I heard screeches of help and help us, then it happened just before my eyes the vampire apocalypse.

She had no connections except two- Devon, her best friend, whom she grew up with, and Selene- the woman who adopted her and Devon when they were 15. They were the only ones who knew her secret. The only ones who knew about the thing in her mind and the damage it had and could cause. Amara had spent her life wishing it was gone, that she grew up an average girl, so she was unprepared for the day the very thing ruining her life would save it and the world.
